Decided no to do leg press did the DL back off instead
BB rack curls as described in the book, 45/8 65x8 8 7 two minutes rest between sets.

Press 65/10 75/5 85/5 95/1,,105/4, Back off 96/6 95/6
Push downs 50/12. 62.5x 8, 8, 12
Going to keep the same weight for press next week, hope to get the five on the wrk set.
Increase the push downs to 65.
Great progress. Nice to see another geezer pushing big iron.

Squats. Saftey bar Bar/10 95/6 140/5 put on belt 160/5 190/3 back off 155/8
Wimped out on the work set,better man up next week

Friday,5/8/15
Bench press bar/10. 96/6 115/5, then I messed up. I was going to do 140 and work my way up to 160 but miss loaded the bar to 155 it felt heavy , got 155 4 4 4 couldnt get 5 reps, then did back off sets of 140 5x2
Pull downs 100x12 150 5x2 back off 125 x 12
CGFP 120x8 120x5
That's it for the week, not a great work out but at least it got done.

Nice work, but I worry that, for a geezer, you're pushing the volume aspect too hard, possibly at the expense of intensity?
I guess it doesn't really matter. That guys our age can lift anything heavier than a six pack is a victory in some ways.
Monday 5/11/ 15. No workout today. Woke up Sunday morning with a stiff lower back. If felt fine after squatting Thursday and was fine while and after benching Friday. I did nothing to agravate my back on Saturday,gues it was just culmative stress. I thought if I rested Sunday I would be able the DL today, but not happening. Icing it, using emu cream and Motrin today. Will bench and do some pulldowns if possible tommorrow.

Felt slightly better by the afternoon. Did pull downs and nautilus chest press. That's it .
