    Yes Jerry, I do alternate heat and ice when my back is giving me trouble. I was actually making great progress until I slipped on Christmas Eve...It doesn't take much to throw one off, especially as we get older. This may be my last year of competing, and if so, I'd like to go out on a high note.

    starting strength coach development program
    I appreciate the advice on the hot & cold Jerry. My back has loosened up considerably this week, and with luck, I won't need to see the chiro for awhile. As for my pain, it's really been pretty much a balancing act for many years now. I'm determined to keep my strength levels up as best I can as I grow older, and with my competition coming up, I'm still very motivated. I'm aiming for around 320+/- SQ, 230+/- BP, and possibly 400 DL (if my back holds up). Your training is looking good, hope all is well.
