I rarely have done front squats ( tough to rack),but they force you to stand pretty vertical. The SBS may hit the lower back a little more than a straight bar. I seem to be able to do a sort of low bar with it. Mainly its easer on these old mans shoulders. If the have one at you gym, give it try and see how it works for you.

On Saturday I did a short sqt workout. I upped the reps on the one work set and the back off from the week before. Ive been soar for 2 days. Maybe Ripp is right. High reps ain't for the old.

    Low rep/more weight=less sore/more strength

Thanks 57, I should know that by now. Sometimes I just feel I need more reps for conditioning. I going to go with lower reps and do some work on off days with the rower.
