    Trap bar DL 135/5 165/5 185/5
    195/5 205/1 225/3
    Pull down 110/8 135/8 amrap.
I did go up 5lbs on the DL, I thought maybe I would get 5 reps, but wasn't happening today. I'm sure my aseending sets warm up is not ideal, and the fact that all I had to eat when I trained at 2pm was a Kind snack bar and 2 cups of black coffee
    didn't help either.

Hi Jerry. I have been doing 3 work sets with ascending weights after warmups, and i found my last, heaviest set was suffering as a result. Experimenting now with jumping to the max weight on the second set, and using the lighter third set as a back off.
Seems to be working well at this stage.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll use the same weights warning up for the one work set, just lower the reps. Then add in one back off set.

Wait longer. There's no need to rush it. Just stay warmed up enough. Good workout!

    What Fred J said.

Take as much time as you need.

    I'm guilty of this too.

Take your time I usually go for 8min or more, you will probably notice a difference. I set the timer for 7min and read some during my waits. But then I have a home gym, no one bitching about me holding the spot.

I didn't plan on doing anything today, I've been feeling a little off. Could be a cold (Covid?),swollen glands, or not recovered.due to age. I had my grandson over, he wanted to WO.
I just saw one of the guys I follow on Instagram show how he does pullovers on the floor. I gave them a try. I did 3 sets of 12 with a 25lb BB, I sure felt weak The guy was doing 3 reps with 235..I did BB rows 95/12 for 3 sets
