Damn I feel week. Did 210 for 8 last week on the DL. I thought a 5lb jump would be easy. Actually on my first attempt it wouldn't budge.
I have lost around 20lbs in the past 4/5 months on purpose. Trying to get my BP under control. I didn't eat much of anything before lifting today, some figs and 2 cups off coffee. I need to change my eating plan and eat something on the days I lift before going out to the garage.

    Hi Jerry
I think what affects what you can lift on the day, is what you eat the day before.
If you are carbed up from that, things will go well. What you eat in the morning of the day isn't going to power up the system much, because the body needs time to absorb and distribute it.

If I don't eat well enough before lifting it shows up in a poor workout even if I ate well the day/night before. Good luck and eating some oatmeal or something for some energy should help.

Hey Jerry, I got a tip from a friend I used to train with, he in turn got it from one of the late John Meadows (mountaindog1) videos on YouTube. I have it before every workout now. It calls for one serving of cream of rice cereal, adjusting the water to your liking. Then mix in one Tbsp of peanut butter, and some sugarless Hershey's chocolate syrup. I gotta say it tastes pretty good, and I don't workout without it now.

Thanks for the advice guys.! I really need to pay more attention to when and what eat. I'm trying to keep my weight between 195 and 198. I just need to spread it out during the day rather than a big dinner
