    Seated OHP
    45 x10
    65 x 4
    85 x 2
    92.5 x 2

105 x 5 - Fifty rep stalled but went up
    100 x 5
100 x 5- first rep the bar was too far forward, terrible form & focus on rep 3, left foot slip of fifth rep.

    Notes

Meh. I thought about going 102.5 but went bigger and lost, but I'll take a 105 top set.

    95 x 5
    145 x 3
    190 x 2
    215 x 2

    240 x 5
    225 x 5
225 x 5 - staggered back off the hooks, almost tipped over

    Notes

Nice top set. Was easily to depth and only a little grinding of the last rep. The two backoff sets actually felt a lot harder than the top one.

My right hip made this odd spongy-crunching throughout the session on every rep. Nothing painful, just sounded mushy.

Video looks like shit - blurry.

    67.5 x 5
    100 x 3
    135 x 2
    150 x 2

    170 x 5
170 x 5 - banged the right hook on unrack
170 x 5 - eblow flare on rep three, rep five was a grind

    Notes

So, when you read the previous number right, it works better. First set bar speed was really good, and slowed pretty predictably through the second and third set. I was glad to get 3x5 straight across with it.

    Deadlift

    135 x 2 x 5
    225 x 3
    260 x 2 - felt really slow

    290 x 5 - Lockouts felt weak

    Notes

I rushed the warm ups as an experiment, and it wasn't a good idea. 225 felt a lot heavier than usual, and 260 more so.

    Squats
    45 x 10
    95 x 5 - was supposed to be 100 lbs
    145 x 3
    195 x 2
    220 x 2

245 x 5 - third rep felt pancaked, fast set throughout
    225 x 5 - better form
    225 x 5 - slow going

    Notes

Snapped the ring off my right shoe. The right foot felt like it was slopping all over. Reps were all over, and some dubious depth on them. A few also felt like my knees went faster than my hips, resulting in some pancaking.

    Seated OHP

    45 x 10 - right lumbar muscle pain (strain?)
    65 x 4 - ibid
87.5 x 2 - pain disappeared, reps were slow and controlled
    100 x 2 - slow and solid

110 x 3 - rep four stalled hard before I could get under it
    110 x 3 - Right wrist twinge on rerack??!
110 x 3 - No wrist issue at a; bad unrack but recovered for three

    Notes

That didn't go quite as expected. I was aiming for 110 x 5 with backoffs, but that didn't happen. I rolled through on sets across and I'll get it next time.

    Deadlift

    115 x 2 x 5
    180 x 3 - Nice!
    235 x 2 - Little lumbar aches??!
    265 x 2 - Smooth and dialed in

295 x 5 - Grip issues and weak lockout on fourth rep

    Notes

Cranked in 20g BCAA and 200mg caffeine a half hour before and a 65g protein shake after.
The warm up sets felt really crisp and tight, and the work sets, other than rep four they felt awesome. That last rep felt like it took six seconds.

Also, finally found my tripod and got to use the cell phone mounting bracket SWMBO bought me for xmas, so the videos should be consistent with angle and height from now on.

    Squats
    45 x 10 - first five as paused squats
    100 x 5 - Really smooth & comfortable
    150 x 3
    200 x 2
    225 x 2

250 x 5 - Felt... easy. Had another rep or two in the tank.
    225 x 5
    225 x 5 - More struggling

    Notes

Today's session felt just awesome. Everything was dialed in and the reps were like standing up. Depth felt good, nice bounce, and very little to worry about.

    Bench press
    45 x 10
    70 x 5
    105 x 3 - dive-bombed first rep
    140 x 2 - fast off the chest
    157.5 x 2 - DON'T WATCH THE BAR

175 x 5 - Shitty liftoff, reset; grinded up fifth rep, barely
    160 x 5 - a lot smoother and consistent
    160 x 5

    Notes

Preworkout 20g BCAA, 20g Glutamine, 400mg caffeine. I dislike 0500 workouts, but SWMBO decided getting a toilet seat required my assistance and a trip to McDonald's. Funny how her priorities work.

ANYway. The top set was just hard end to end, and the failed unrack first go around certainly didn't help. Fell back to top set with drop sets for the duration. Was not happy with the session overall.

Still waiting on the Do-Win shoes, which should be here by Friday.

    Deadlift

    135 x 2 x 5
    180 x 3
    240 x 2 - Squeeze up!
    270 x 2 - Grip the bar harder

300 x 2 - Grip issues on second rep, third was just WRONG off the platform and bailed

    Notes

Another early morning with 20g BCAA, 20g Glutamine, 400mg caffeine. I have NO idea why I start waking at around 0400.

It was not a brilliant session. Even the 270 warm-up felt an effort and the grip loss along with the bad platform break on the third rep did it in. I was going for a second round but on the set-up my lumbar told me this was a bad idea.

I may need to re-stitch those lifting straps and use them to get around the grip problems I've been having. I've tried mixed grip before and I can't seem to get it feeling anything resembling secure on the left elbow.
