18 days post laparoscopic bilateral inguinal hernia repair -- I consider myself recovered now so I won't be posting days post-op anymore. Now it's just like coming back from any layoff.

I should have asked the surgeon about standing ab wheel sets.

ME: Will I be able to do standing ab wheels after the surgery.
    SURGEON: Yes
ME: Thats great because I wasn't able to do them before.

Uggggg! The no edit thing drives me crazy.

Also wanted to say I consider myself fortunate that the ab wheel is not giving me any trouble. Many who have undergone hernia repair say it was months before they could comfortably do abs or even do pullups (which stress the abs more than you might think).

My wife had hernia repair about ten years ago and she still has too much pain to do them. My allergist, too, who is a very young, early thirty. She can do a partial, but not full-range. It is amazing how many muscle groups are used for pullups.

Been 10 days since I did Presses and these others. That's my excuse for not really improving. Will be back on my weekly schedule by next weekend.

For some reason after the surgery, deadlifts still worry me the most. They went fine though. I was at 330x6 and 340x5 a little over a month ago. My goal is to surpass all my previous lifts by Halloween.

Good stuff, Culican. Take care of that elbow, perhaps even have it looked at to see what is injured. Since my triceps surgery, I've found an elbow sleeve really helps keep it warm and makes it easier to warm up.
