    Some days can get you thinking about those that have passed. Today was the day my Mom passed away 11 years ago and it was also her birthday. She did make to 88. Tomorrow I will bring flowers to my Mom's and wife's grave site

    After Sunday's workout, my back was really feeling the strain, and was in rough shape by Monday. I saw my chiropractor on Tuesday, just in time it seemed, as he left on vacation yesterday. I should have iced my back afterwards, but neglected to, and my back was sore all night. It was much better last night, and I got through today's workout without issues.

    With only three more training weeks before my meet, it's getting tougher to maintain the pace I've been on. The arthritis in my (worst) hip gave me some trouble today, and the cold definitely didn't help. We were at about 10 degrees this morning, that felt like only two.

    I guess when it gets close to peaking you start feeling the dings more. I feel most of my pains when I wake up in the AM. I will if I think it will affect my wo take a few Motrin and rub on some Tiger Balm. It seems to help, and will be good even the next day.

    Just over three weeks to go, and my hip is still giving me some trouble, so I will probably back off a bit on my squats leading up to the meet. I hope to get some decent video to share from the meet, my granddaughter will be helping in that department. I was still able to move my rack pulls up another 10 pounds today.

    My hip and SI joint have been worse this weekend, and I was really feeling my age today. I was forced to cut the poundage on my squats considerably, and my first few sets were pretty painful...managed to block most of it out for my final two sets. I hope this flare-up subsides soon.

    16 days and counting. I saw my chiropractor for an adjustment on Tuesday, and my hip pain is diminishing (slowly). Trying to stay positive and focus on the lifts more as the meet approaches. Just three more workouts to go, after this morning's. I did well enough on everything, and pushed my halting DL's pretty hard. Next week will be my last DL workout before the meet, rack pulls up to 385, tentatively.

    My hip has loosened up over the last few days, and I was able to push my squats again. After my warmup, I just did BP and SQ today...two more workouts to go.

    I'm still having a bit of pain in my hip and SI joint, but got through my last deadlift workout alright today. Just my SQ/BP workout to go this Sunday, before the meet next weekend.
