My low back is still tweaked a bit, but not enough to affect today's workout. I have been thinking about trying Andy Baker's 852 rotation for my squat, but after pushing a heavy set of 5's today, I dread the thought of those 8's!

I'm back home in Central NY, after spending most of the last four months in the Burlington VT area. It happened on the spur of the moment, but was inevitable. Over the last few years, I've been in a "semi-relationship", off and on, with a nice woman my age from VT. The only real problem was the fact that she has a bad drinking problem, bad enough that she's been pretty much estranged from most of her family for years now. She does better when I've been around, but only for a short time.

I've tried every way I could to help her through it, but all for naught. She was unwilling (or unable) to accept the fact she needs serious help, so two days ago I had to tell her I'd had enough, and was leaving for good. After losing my late girlfriend to dementia six years ago, I decided I can't stand by watching someone ruin their life, when there are choices.

So, I'm back to training in my parents garage, and will be helping them out as I can, and just trying to get on with my life and enjoy it the best I can.

Sorry to hear that Fifty. I know how hard it is to realize when you can't help someone see that they are killing themselves. I had the same issue with my Dad.
They say things happen for a reason. Good luck with the move back to training at home.
    Stay well.Jerry

Too bad about Vermont but it sounds like you have a good plan and you and your parents are there for each other.
