These two top sets are where I would like to get to before I get too old. Goals...need em!

My workout took TOO LONG today, but I added a power clean warmup before my deadlifts, and did push the deadlift hard.

Nice pulls! I got tired reading that workout! I wish that I had the stamina to do that.

I'm looking for a little feedback from my fellow geezers, or anyone else who has an opinion. I'm thinking about competing in a World Record Breakers Meet in the WNPF on November 12th, not positive yet. I've only competed raw in recent years, wearing knee sleeves for squat. There are currently, no World Records in the raw division of my age and weight class, so whatever I do would be the first.

I'm debating going raw classic, which allows knee wraps, just to take a shot at a couple of the records in that division. Bench press is out of the question at this time, but squat is a possibility, and deadlift a certainty. The current WR's in the organization for raw classic are 325 SQ, 240 BP, and 340 DL. What do y'all think?

If competition is what keeps you motivated to keep training I'd say go for it. Your weight is good so you don't have to do any thing different with your diet. Good luck.

Seems like a no-brainer to me. Go for it and put up the biggest numbers that you can. After that, you'll have a certificate on the wall for friends and family to see. And how many of us actually know a world record holder in real life for anything?

    Keep at it!

Is this the event in Lockport New York? I say enter which one you want to and kill it! I noticed that all three of those records you mentioned are the same guy.

My workouts continue to go pretty well, and one big plus... after seeing my chiropractor a couple days ago, my hip feels the best it has in a year. I just started training one of my grandsons, he'll be 13 in January. Just a couple workouts so far, but he's doing very well, and seems to enjoy it.

I was draggin' this morning, before I even started my workout... stayed up too late last night watching the college football games. Even so, I can't complain too much, I managed to get everything I was aiming for, almost. I was hoping for four reps on my BP work set with 183, but got out of the groove on the first rep and had to readjust... couldn't get that fourth rep.
