The Y in Burlington was very busy today...no college classes and people off for the long weekend, but I managed to snag a platform.
The New Year started off on a bad note for me, the lady friend I've been helping snuck a bottle, and ended up belligerent and abusive for most of the weekend. The stress made today's workout tougher than it should have been.

Sorry to hear about the New Year stress. At least you had a way to relieve it.

I'm still under too much stress with the current situation, and didn't sleep well last night, but focused it all into my workout at the Y this morning. I was draggin', but did well on everything, and gave my knee/hamstring injury a real test with SLDL's...everything seems good.

I turned 68 yesterday, and other than the occasional hip and low back trouble that I'm used to dealing with, I can honestly say I'm in pretty good shape and happy with my training. I've been in kind of a quandary concerning my squat lately, tried one of Rickey Dale Crain's workouts, but don't enjoy doing progressively heavier pause squats every week at my age. I used Karl Schudt's layout this morning, and I feel this is doable, at least up till my next meet in April, at which time I can re-evaluate.

Happy belated birthday Fifty. Sure looks like a great plan. Took me awhile to believe that as I got older the biggest change was the time it takes to recover from a workout.

Tough workout today, I didn't sleep well last night, too much trouble on my mind related to my lady friend. I need to get back home soon, and get my life back on track, such as it is. I got to the Y about 7, but it was much busier than I expected.

I actually had a much better workout today. The BP routine I've been following is still moving forward, and my hip was feeling better today, so my squats went smoothly.

I was feeling good this morning and was expecting a great workout. Overall, it was very good, but I paid a bit afterwards with my hip and SI joint seizing up on me, on the drive back to my friend's condo.
