But I'm still a relative newbie, having done this only a few years, and while an oldie around these parts, still a fair bit younger than you (55 this year). That, coupled with the fact that I am not in this to compete (other than with myself), means that I really don't have anything useful to provide. I do hope that you work your way through the aches and pains and figure out a satisfactory path forward.

My left sacrum is still bothering me, so I cut things short today. I was able to squat, but didn't go as heavy as last week. Bench presses went well enough, next week I'm dropping the fifth set and only raising the weight two pounds.

I've been back home since Monday, but with my needy lady friend from Vermont in tow. I'll be taking her back home tomorrow, and with any luck, be back home for good soon. I saw my chiropractor on Wednesday for a (painful) adjustment. The right hip and SI joint are still giving me some trouble, along with my left sacrum, but I managed to get a decent workout in this morning at home. I did light DB swings to warmup, along with some light good mornings, and can honestly say my low back is feeling better after this workout.

Today's workout could be the last I do in Vermont for a long time to come. I'm expecting to head home again this week, and don't expect to be back here again... I've given my lady friend all the help I can, to no avail.

I returned home yesterday, my low back and hip were bothering me quite a bit over the previous couple days. I had to drop my car off this morning for brake work, and just finished a decent workout.

I saw my chiropractor on Friday, and my hip and low back are feeling much better today. I had a good workout this morning, but pushed the first five exercises so hard, I was too worn out to attempt my squats. Maybe I'll just do them tomorrow.

This morning I did the squats that I skipped yesterday, and also a couple sets of vertical leg press.

I got some much needed motivation for today's workout... watching Shug's 475 trap bar DL from yesterday... smooth Shug!

These long workouts are starting to get the best of me lately, and I'm still undecided about competing at all this year. I'm trying to at least maintain, eking out progress wherever I can, but I think more and more about maybe transitioning to more of a bodybuilding type workout.
