    This was yesterday ...

    Row
    112lbs x 3 x 5

    Press
    90lbs x 3 x 5

Starting to increase again on these two lifts after holiday-related deloading.

    Chins
    3 x 8

    Squat
    204 x 3 x5
This felt hard. Maybe due to running about 7 miles the day before. I may have to take the increases a bit more slowly.

    Deadlift
    270 x 4
Yes, I missed the last rep. I think I was trying to progress too fast and next time I am aiming to go for 248 or perhaps 253.

Yeah, I'd stick to the planned increases - it will get hard soon enough anyways.

Trained in my garage this morning, so that brings with it some limitations.

    Row
    112lbs x 3 x 5
This was okay, may try to move up next time (Friday).

    Press
    90lbs x 3 x 5
These went up okay and I will add weight next time (Monday).

    Squat
    121lbs x 20.
I almost hurt myself a few weeks ago doing squats at home, so I went for a pretty easy weight today. It still felt like hard work towards the end of the set! I may go up a bit next Wednesday now I feel a bit more confident.

    Deadlift
    231lbs x 5.
This is about the most I can get on my bar at home (unless I go and buy more 10kg plates ...).
It struck me I could have done 2 or 3 sets since this was lighter than what I have been lifting at the gym. But I was satisfied with this really.

    Rows
    116lbs x 3 x 5
Trying to avoid moving my torso too much. Felt pretty good.

    Squat
    209lbs x 3 x 5
Happy with this as I added a bit and it felt easier than Monday's squats.

    Dips
    11lbs on the belt 3 x 8.
I was pleased that I got a couple more reps on each set this time. Will use 13lbs next session.

    Deadlift
    248lbs x 5
I felt I could have gone a bit heavier, but since I missed a rep on Monday, I deloaded so as to make sensible incremental increases.

    Bench
    138lbs x 3 x 5.
These felt about the right level of challenge.

Finished with 3 sets of Farmer's Walks with 55lbs dumbbells.

Gym is closed on Monday (a bank holiday in the UK). I may be able to get down on Sunday, otherwise it'll have to be a train in the garage day.

Well, I didn't get to the gym yesterday. I did run about 8 miles with my wife.
So, I did the garage version ...

    Squats
    127lbs x 20
This was more than I did for my last "20". I am still a bit nervous about going much heavier at home without a rack etc.

    Row
    118lbs x 3 x 5
Felt I did a good job on these.

    Press
    94lbs x 3 x 5
Pleased with these, seemed to go up well.

    Deadlift
    231 x 5
I was wondering about doing more than one set, seeing as this is somewhat lower than my work set at the gym. However, I felt one was enough. I told myself that the extra ROM that comes with using smaller plates meant this was quite productive enough for one day.

    Another garage workout ...
Bit annoyed as I ordered some protein and it never came. I have been refunded and re-ordered. #firstworldproblems.

    Row
    121lbs x 3 x 5.

    Squats
    129lbs x 20
Risking increasing the weight. Wore my belt.

    Press
    96lbs 5,5,4
Missed the last rep on the last set. Oh well.

    Deadlift
    231lbs x 5

Looking forward to getting to the gym on Friday to do a better session. Also hoping to buy some kind of rack for squatting in my garage.

On Thursday, I twisted my knee a bit at kickboxing. I decided not to lift on Friday, but did a bit on Saturday.
I am going to switch to using kilograms in my log, just because it's getting to be a pain converting things each time.

    So, Saturday ...
    Squat
Took it very steady, 10 reps at 20, 30, 40 and 50 kg. Knee felt okay, just a bit tight at lockout.

    Row
    55kg x 3 x5

    Press
    43.5kg x 3 x 5
Pleased because I'd missed last rep on this weight last time.

    Deadlift
    105kg x 5

The knee continues to be a bit sore, but okay when lifting.

    So, this morning (Monday).

    Row
    56kg x 3 x 5

    Press
    45kg x 3 x 5
Quite pleased with this as moving up in the press has felt quite difficult for me.

Will go to the gym at lunch to squat and deadlift.

Thanks Chris. I think I got the hip "bounce" thing right on the majority of the reps, which helped!
