You've seen how short my arms are relative to my height. I get to about 10'8-10 when i dunk and I can't do that unless there's no ball in my hands, so it'll have to be a lob. 10'6 is not enough to dunk.

Very few people in the 5'9 range, without monkey arms, can dunk...period.

How heavy were the DBs in the video? How heavy have you tried?

    without dumbbells=~39"
    10 lbs total dumbbells=40"
    20 lbs total dumbbells=36"
    40 lbs total dumbbells=29"
    60 lbs total dumbbells=25"

    Weird force/velocity curve?

Broad jump with 5 lb dumbbells is 10'8
Broad jump without anything is 10'4.

    . . . like why a RVJ > SVJ . . . you load the eccentric more.

Better keep this quiet. The guys at the next combine will be hiding 3 lbs of lead pellets in their wrist bands (sweat bands) to mimic the effect.

My full squat was already pretty strong and I doubt going from ~2.25x BW to 2.5x would have had the same effect as drastically improving my power in the athletic (quarter) position. I tracked my progress and bar speed as well (with the Beast Sensor). I ended up being able to move 372 as fast as I could move 312 in november.

Mine's getting clogged up; I sometimes actually troll back thru my own log to find PR's, body weights, etc, reference points, etc

3 months of benching have yielded amazing gains as well. I can currently bench 215 at a body weight of 140. I do mainly speed work and do some heavy strength work
    My upper body routine:

    The workout:
    3x5 shallow (3" above chest) bench press @ 0.7 m/s
3x5 push up jumps for height on just jump mat (can get 14-15" now)
2x5 full bench press for strength

I've noticed that my legs have become differently shaped as well. Like before the distal portion was kinda thick relative to the proximal region. Now the upper parts of my thighs are really big and the lower parts are really thin. Perhaps a result of the partial squat training?
