    Went to Kickboxing last night.

As mentioned above, not getting to the gym today.

    Press
    47.5kg x 5 x 3
Got them all this time, will go up on Monday.

    Row
    67.5kg x 5 x 3
This was a repeat of my last heaviest workout. Went okay, so I will go up on Monday.

I may get some squats and deads done after work, if there's time, otherwise I'll do some tomorrow.

Weighed in at 12st 11lbs this morning. So, must have eaten a bit more this week.

    Squat: 62.5kg x 20
    Deadlift: 105kg x 5 x 3

Got a bit more done to supplement yesterday's half-workout.

On holiday next week, should get to gym three times.

Just reinstalled Arch Linux on my laptop and not got everything set up, so apologies if this post is a little basic. (Note to self: sort out X Windows keyboard settings ... )

    Garage
    Press
    48.5kg: 4, 5, 4
Quite happy with this as I managed some reps at the higher poundage.

    Row
    68.5kg x 5 x3

    Gym
    Squat
    105kg x 5 x 3

    Dips
    6.25kg on belt: 9 x 3

    Bench
    67.5kg x 5 x 3
I wouldn't usually bench on a day when I had pressed, but it's my holiday so ...

    Power Clean
    60kg x 3 x 5

I was pleased with this, still making progress.

    Press
    48.5kg x 5 x 3
Happy to finally get all the reps at this weight.

    Row
Decided not to row heavy every time, so did this:
    48.5kg x 5 x 5

    Squat
    107.5kg x 5 x 3
Had to huff and puff a bit, but got these.

    Chins
    5kg on belt: 7, 8, 7
    V. pleased with that 8!

    Deadlift
    137.5kg x 5

    Bench
    67.5kg x 5 x 3
Didn't add to the weight I lifted on Monday. I think I was getting a bit tired at this point.
Maybe on Friday I will not press and save myself for the bench.

After my heavy deadlifting on Wednesday, I felt a bit "beat up". I am going to cut down on the number of lifts that I do per session and concentrate on the main ones.
I like to believe I have this amazing work capacity, but I need to gear my training more towards intensity rather than volume, I think.

Today I felt quite tired and was close to not going the the gym. Glad I did.

    Squat
    110kg x 5 x 3
Very happy with this, as I thought it would not happen.

    Dips
    6.25kg x 10 x 3
Happy to get those 10s, but this was the wrong day to do dips, stupid!

    Bench
    67.5kg x 5 x 5
Chest and triceps already a bit tired after the dips, this was never going to be a great bench day for me.
But I felt this was worth doing. Must remember not to dip on bench day!

    Power Clean
    62.5kg x 3 x 5

So, in the interest of trying to stick to a sane plan. This is what I aim to do from now on.

Mon: Press, Squat, Dips, Power Clean.

Wed: Press, 20 rep. Squats, Power Clean.

    Fri: Squat, Chins, Bench, Deadlift.

My main problem is that on Wednesdays I cannot really get to the gym, so I can't squat heavy.

    Well, I can only try.

Didn't get a lot of sleep last night as the OH was up with sickness & diarrhoea.
In fact, I am considering skipping my session at the gym, but we'll see.

    Press
    50kg 3
    45kg: 5, 5

I am going to have to go back and re-read the relevant parts of PP.
    I couldn't get more than 3 reps at 50kg, so I deloaded.
I suppose I will continue like this for a bit and see if I can build up to three sets of 5 at 50kg.

Not a great session at the gym ...

    Squat
    112.5kg 5, 3, 3
First set was a grinder. I had to grind the triples also.

    Dips
    7.5kg on belt: 8, 8, 8
    The high point really.

    Power Clean
    65kg 3
    60kg 3 x 4

65kg felt too much. I will creep back up to this over the following workouts.

Forgot to record that my weight was the same this weekend. 12st 11lbs. Grr.

This week is going to be patchy at best. On Friday I am going to have to get up at about 3:30am to get my son to his school as he is going on a school trip. It's unlikely that I will get enough sleep, or feel much like a gym session, that day. Also generally over the past couple of weeks I don't think I have been eating or sleeping well enough.

I am going to try another reset, now that I have decided to cut down on some of my additional exercises. But after I get stuck again I am going to try Texas Method.

Feeling a bit discouraged, to be honest. Oh well ...

Well, it appears I am a bit under-recovered or whatever.

    Press
    47.5kg x 5 x 3

Then I tried my Power Cleans, warmed up and did 2 reps at 60kg, but it just didn't feel any good. I was arm-pulling and everything.
I may have another go when I come in from work and at least do some squats. But I am also thinking I might just give myself a few days off and get stuck in again on Monday.

Yes Chris, it's possible I am fighting that off. I rarely get the full version of colds/stomach bugs etc., but just resisting it has probably sapped some of my manly toughness .
