Orlando, as in USAPL Nationals? Now I'll have to go back and look in your training log for sure. I spent some time watching the primetime sessions on youtube.

Today was my first workout since the 10/28 meet. I'm more than fine with deloading my SQ, since I've been looking forward to hiking and backpacking. But I'm reluctant to give up gains on P and DL. I'll start BP again, and we'll see how that goes since it had been bothering my left delt.

P 2.0: 111x4+F, 100x5. I'll continue micro loading, but for one triple, and then 2 backoff sets of 5.

Thought I would train again Friday at 0530, but I'll drive 300 miles for work tomorrow, so I'll train Saturday morning instead.

That first session back felt like death for me. In fact, everybody from my gym that went to Orlando said that they hated those first few sessions post meet.

Hope you're feeling a bit better than that.

Thanks. It's feeling OK, probably because I reloaded sat so drastically.

I'm glad to be back to BP (regular grip width), since I haven't done it since July. I was doing CGBP with a P width grip, and really trying to tuck my elbows and lower the bar to the upper abs, but even that was bothering my left delt. I read up a little on grip width. The suggested range was anywhere between one hand width wider than P grip, to pinkies on the score. I settled on half way between the smooth and the score, with good results. No pain, and the bar really popped, although it was just 135.

Yeah, whether it was during my BP, or P setup, pull-ups, or even my SQ setup, I got used to that pain always being there these past few months. Never thought of myself as old until now, along with the reality of maybe having to accept at least a certain amount of pain.

Yes, no pain is a good thing.
