    Yes, sir. There were a lot of possible modifications I didn't consider when I reread The Barbell Prescription on my recent weekend off. Suffice it to say, I'll return to an upper/lower Saturday/Sunday split sooner rather than later (in addition to training Wednesday or Thursday).

    F'in' Atlanta traffic, even on a weekend...put me at the gym 30 minutes later than planned. I had to rush before closing time. But on the bright side, I did find something I might could use for a deadlift hack*.

    DL: 135x5, 225x2, 285x1. *I didn't have time to take off my knee sleeves before DL, like I usually do. But rolling them down to my ankles never worked for me, since a double layer of knee sleeve between my shin and the bar put me off midfoot. But today, I just pulled them down slightly under the knee, high enough that they stayed up by themselves. A single layer of knee sleeve between my shin and the bar seemed fine (if one quick single is any indication).

    I programmed a light squat day today (less 5-10%) because of the hiking I did Sunday. I really did feel sore in my lower calves for a few days. Squats were light but not so easy. I would have preferred to train yesterday, but had to travel.

    DL: 135x5, 225x2, 285x4. Keeping my knee sleeves on my shins during DL will be a short lived, failed experiment. A single layer of my blue Rehbands between my shins and the bar seemed fine last time. But that one quick single last week was no indication. Trying to do a set of 5 today, the bar was forward of midfoot, probably more so as the set progressed.
