    Medium DL: 135x3, 200x2, 265x1, 290x3. Because it was "just" a medium day triple, I decided to try pulling in my Chucks. I did notice the shorter range of motion. But I won't use Chucks on heavy day, and risk missing my programmed workset, due to the squishiness compared to lifting shoes.

    Shoes do make a difference. I'm always surprised by the people who can lift in any old shoe.

    I'm definitely a Princess and the Pea kinda guy I guess.

    No, you're not wrong. As much emphasis as good technique places on force transfer and staying midfoot, any squishiness doesn't help.
