It felt good to get back to the gym for the first time in over 2 months. I missed the great bars and racks, my Romaleos, and my 4" belt, which I left at the gym. It took me a while to recognize and find the latter.
I videoed my squats. Maybe it was the low angle, but they appeared rather high. My DL had been feeling deceptively good at home, where I was lifting in my old Rogue Do-Wins. I think the divots in my homemade platform, while not amounting to a deficit DL, did allow the bar to stay midfoot during my setup. The heat in the gym sapped my juice for what I hoped would be 315x4, a PR. That was despite commandeering one of the bigass fans.

I deloaded my squat to kitten strength levels. Any video I took at home in my garage was deceiving, in that I don't seem to be hitting depth based on video from the gym. At home, I used a bar stool pretty close to hip height that I set my iPhone camera to video. At the gym, I place it on a flat bench.

Ohhhhhh, I remember the first time I put myself on video for a Squat session after I joined my new gym (years ago).
I was soooo embarrassed!
It was right after that, that I went in to talk with the owner (now my coach) about what I could do to "get better". And yes, we went back to "kitten strength" levels so as to unlearn some bad habits.
I'm looking at "kitten strength" levels when I return to the gym next week...wadda ya gonna do.
