Squats are slowly coming along. Still trying my best to get the moment pattern back.
Bench felt hard and my left pec feels strained more than it should. Probably time to start adding in a top set + back offs or don't bench heavy twice a week. I'm about back up to pre-surgery strength level here.
I'm showing 2 sets of deadlifts because I'm trying to decide if I like my lifting shoes or wrestling shoes better. I'm more comfortable in my wrestling shoes.
Squats went better than anticipated! Started feeling my hip flexor get tight again, but felt way batter after the workout than it has been feeling.
Presses were a bit disappointing, and my first true stall since surgery. Got 4 reps on all sets. Press 2.0 definitely needs work. Not getting anything out of my hips!
Phone died and didn't record 3rd set of chins. I ALMOST got 5 reps on the second set, but couldn't count it.
Hip flexor tight again. But great feeling at the end of the session. I'm hoping that little song and dance won't last long!
Last 2 bench sessions I felt a strain in my pec after first set, so I'm temporarily switching to close grip benches @~85% of the top set to give that pec a bit of a break. Extra triceps focus probably won't hurt my press either!
Squat - 275 3x5
Press - 180 4,5,4 (I need to deload)
Pullups - 35# 5,5,3
Squats felt good again! I'm starting to develop some discomfort above the knee, though. It's only the when I try to sit down the day or two after training. Hope it isn't tendinitis!
This is the 3rd time I have pressed 180 so I need to deload and work it back up. I'm seeing a SSC on Saturday and we're going to work on the press.
Saw SSC Adam Franklin this day at his place. Worked on my squat and press 2.0. Squats are progressing nicely which is good and press 2.0 needs work. I didn't get video of the press or Pullups today.
