    thanks for asking

says he's not concerned yet ... switched me to prednisone

took my first dose this morning .... may be having an effect already but i'm not sure

also referred me to PT ... earliest appt. I could get is Nov 20th

if it's not better after 9 days on prednisone, i'll get an MRI

3 weeks since back injury ... not going great

    prednisone had no noticeable effect

pretty bad numbness (From worst to best) .. heel, bottom left side of left foot, back of left calf, side of left thigh

often have persistent pain in lower back (no shooting pains)

just had an MRI and will see physiatry department on friday

also getting a crowd recommending i see a chiropractor ... never been to one

wondering if i can resume any kind of lifting

went in the gym and tried out 95# benchpress ... didn't seem to cause any discomfort whatsoever

would also consider trying overhead press though clearly that involves the lower back and left leg

coming up on 4 months and not much to report

still have persistent numbness in left foot

frequent (but not constant) lower back pain ... mostly manageable

have golfed without noticeable affect, taken a brisk 6 mile hike, travelled to China and back also ok, 2 days of disneyland riding lots of coasters ... overdid it ... i think the positive g's were a problem, not the lateral g's .... bottom line, not a disaster scenario

PT seems to have given up hope on doing anything to help with the numbness

MD (physiastrist) says same thing ... offered to refer me to surgeon ... says numbness often goes away eventually

both freak out when i mention lifting of seeing a chiropractor yet neither has anything positive to offer

just checking in to see if anyone has any guidance ... thinking about posting somewhere on the SS section too ... maybe ask Rip ... for advice

Sorry I have no experience to help but I'm curious about the MRI results.
