Great lifting, Granny! I'm a grandpa, too, a bit older than you. Never give up, never surrender. I don't plan to stop lifting until they've put me in my final box and nailed it closed to keep me in.

Is it due to a reaction to a drug or because of lifting? Never heard of it before, but Cortana was kind and helped me with a search. It doesn't sound pleasant. But your blood pressure is certainly better!

Sorry to hear of your losing family members.

Hi oldster. Not me. My brotherinlaw passed 6/19; since then his wife was ill w/stress induced colitis>sepsis/septic shock 2 weeks ago>we disconnected life support yesterday, let her go. Fairly innocuous, afib & colitis, according to drs. They were young they were healthy they exercised they ate right. What would you call that, not the best luck? idk.

I'm sorry for your loss, granny. Glad you're not going through it. Good lifting for having a rib subluxation.

    We're kindred spirits, gran!

For pullups, can you get a spotter and do regular reps? Just cross your ankles and bend your knees, then have them brace themselves under your ankles, so you can push down only as hard as you need to finish each rep.

Years ago I had a girl in class who's biggest goal was to do chins by herself. I spotted her this way and by the time spring rolled around, she was chinning with an extra 25# around her waist!

Thanks for the idea. Chins, pullups - I'm usually the only woman, and old, and all younger men. But I guess I could try.
