    12_26_18 Wednesday
Somehow I lost 8-10#. Today was squat first, couldn't get a rack at gym so started with press.
Apparent after warmups I have the stomach bug heralded by my grandkids this weekend (got that text Saturday, we're only 50 miles away; my son is throwing up my travel coffee mug!) This Saturday night everybody leaves again.

    Squat
115x5, 125x5, 135x5 never made it to worksets

    12_29_18 Saturday
Family to airport today and sadly attended the wake of a 36yo young man, who from the ages of 12-20 was like a 2nd adopted son to me. Ugh!
    Therefore, DID NOT DO:
    Pinsquat 4@7, 4@8, 4@9
    3ct Bench 4@7, 4@8, 4@9
    Press 11@7, 11@8, 11@9

    12_30_18 Sunday
Feeling pretty under-recovered, 3Q's plus still plagued by vertigo.
Rows felt hard at 105, but doable, hitting my belt not sure if my form is right.
Did yesterdays press supersetted w/30 & 35# bicep curls x15. 11 wth, thats cardio! Couldnt get a rower so skipped maybe tomorrow.
Fist bumped a guy squatting 275x10x10 with perfect form (teach me to do it).

12_31_18 Monday gym is closed this afternoon & tomorrow, started a new developmental block for January this am.
SQ WU: bwx5 (2), 45x5 (3), 70x5, 95x3, 120x2. Kind of a shit show because HBBS after pulling/lowback fatigue & holiday non recovery, not my legs. After squats a gentleman came and introduced himself saying he'd been watching from afar and admired how hard I work, and said HE is "old" too. Admiring my sloppy jump off the D-train, hahahahahaha.
Press: all from a dead stop no layback (why are they so much harder this way?) Lighter because of 11's yesterday.

    Squat 135x5 @6 145x5 @7 155x5 @8 140x5x3sets
    Press 60x5 @6 65x5 @7 70x5 @8 63x5x3sets
    Floor Press 65x8 @6 70x8 @7 80x8@8x3sets

I've been told that competitive powerlifters peak around 35. But plenty of Master's 1 (40-49) and II (50-59) individuals still place in the open field. On the other hand, you're not weak but you're probably a decent way from knocking up against genetic potential, so probably the answer is "not yet".

1_3_19 Thursday New Years mild annoyance; so crowded couldn't squat, and I really wish they'd get rid of the mirrors. Rest of training went well although I NOW SEE my DL backoffs although easy, were too heavy; BW only 2# under where I was before holidays (how am I not HEAVIER?)

    1_5_19 Saturday
    • Pin Squat, decided to stay light and try to do beltless, knees forward, perfect squats. don't remember where the pins were last time (today on 8, pretty damn low.)
    • 3ct bench??
    • DB Incline Press, most of my exercise was walking all the way down the rack & back for dumbells bc the incline bench was at the 145's end.
    • 40s or 45s would be easy if I didnt have to hoist the things up I worry w/my one shoulder...

    Pin Squat 100x4 @6 115x4 @8 105x4 @7 105x4 105x4
    3ct Pause Bench 70x4 @7 75x4 @8 80x4 @9 76x4
    DB Incline Press 17.5x4 20x4 25x4 30x4 @7 35x4 @8 30x4
