Big plates milestone on bench! Looks like both intensity and volume on your bench programming for today.

thanks!! it’s been a goal for quite some time. To do it so easily w more in the tank used to be a dream. My e1rm for tng is 145-148, I wasn’t sure about the programming at first, but I’d have to say it seems to work. The other way I’d ocd over what I SHOULD do based on 1rm - and if I missed I stopped.
Now I’m hoping all these squats lead to more gains. We’ll see.

The incline was written as 15" incline bench - blonde/white moment, I totally don't know what that is, inch? from what reference?or was it just the wrong metacharacter (degrees?) Other choice was 2 ct bench. I did slightly inclined bc the other benches were taken. Probably the easy way out. I also did sets at 65, 85, 95, 100, before getting where I needed to be. Felt like I could have done 120.

Your sure getting plenty of volume.
How long did this workout take. Do you take 5 minutes between work sets and the back offs ?

I have time so I take it. That was almost 2 hours, mostly because we get 3-5 min between DL/Squat/Press/Comp Bench and 3-4 between backoffs. Its hard for me to judge sometimes with the volume, especially 1@8's. Today's 1@8 I overshot, first time in a while.

2ct squat seemed easier. Bench definitely fatigue was a factor (little shoulder tweak) and I misread and did an extra backoff set. Press, I just kept the weight lower, could probably have done more @8 but not willing to compromise my shoulder.

Just came from chiro, rib was out and tspine was rotated maybe explains pp (press probs). Or I’m old! Shoveled wet mulch for two hours (after being out late at dinner w friends. I’m exhausted! Can’t wait to rack pull tomorrow.)

Thanks for the answer. I have a hard time waiting more then 2 minutes between sets. It because I began my training years ago under Dr. Ken and his high intensity style.
I'm old now and need to change, retired and should have more time to spare too.
