I'm old now too, isn't it great? I expect things will change on their own. I don't ENJOY waiting but it is necessary sometimes to make my heavier lifts.

Overheard while the guys looking straight at ME: “deadlifts should never make noise lowering; it’s not 10,000# he’s lifting, this is not a competition. assholes.“
Well. You only do ONE lift at a comp; when you’re doing fives or tens...and oly lifters...it’s kind of a controlled drop, not for the sake of noise, it’s simply to save energy. If I'm wrong tell me why.
I SLEPT 9 hours last night, napped for an hour after gym this am. And today, I treated myself!!! I bailed on pulls (only did 175) and did some cleaning.

Need to practice pretty rusty. I learned something I hadn't realized, from trying the SS start and the regular one: that the SS way is probably a lot easier to teach powerclean without an armpull; I still have trouble hitting as high on my thigh and generating velocity than with a lower start, go figure.
Power cleans!! many, at 100lbs. I put a high hip and low hip start on IG (i'm probably the only one who posts shit lifts, but IDC). I need to put these back in because I'll have no technique at all if I stop.

I suffered for the last two days with extreme trap DOMS and some weird shoulder pain both sides. Right side was the 135# bench tweak, this was different right under the acromion but like bursitis?
I thought training would really suck, esp. since the SI/low back IDK still hurts. Sacrificed 190x1@8 on squat with that poor mindset. Everything seemed easier today, should go up on press backoffs and oops! supposed to do 4 sets @8 for floorpress - I did three.
Will probably stick powerclean practice in Sunday, try to get my traps back. Still sore this am.

Arrived upset and angry. Deadlift went great (fuck you SI joint & low back pain), everything felt easier today except squat, lowback was not happy with reps 7 & 8 on squat sets; leg pump - you'd think I'd have a little muscle by now, and – nope!

Its beautiful today. Everyone is out everywhere. Mother's day; sad weekend for me because it reminds me how much I miss my kids and grandkids. Kind of thing you wonder, what am I doing here? Monday will arrive and I'll be fine.
TNG I did 135 but it was a grinder and the spotter touched the bar! (wth!) 2nd week I've gone from 125 to 135. Too big of a jump, plus fatigue from this block I think. Next block first two weeks are exactly the same with volume. Oh boy.
Brought the 15kg bar in for someone else, decided to do powerclean practice among press sets. IDK how many triples, a lot. We'll see how my shoulders are tomorrow, kept it light on pin press.

Cut floor press @8 sets after two because of shoulder pain. Seems to be press that triggers the pain?

Great session; IDK why today was easy. I'm down maybe 5-7# with the minicut/recomp; I don't understand it. Spotter said 127 was too easy. No shoulder pain today.

Great lifts, I really like the floorpress programming, thanks for reminding me about it.
