    ha! We have 3 sons 27yo (he has twins) who don't "train" and don't have "muscles" - yet are strong as hell. I think you do ok Jerry; IDK if I'll be lifting at 70 - I hope so - and I'm only ending my 59th year next month. I did yardwork a few hours Saturday plus not sleeping well (heat wave+humidity) and was completely wiped for DL yesterday. Entire gym's younger (bench spotter was a baby: "60?!! my mom is 57, 58 - you look different than her." I look every year of my age - esp. now with my Pence-white hair.) There's a 70yo gal, mary duffy, I follow on IG. She's an amazing role model. I may compete just to meet her, we'll see.

    YOU are my role model, Deb. I've re-started training a few months ago, weak as h*ll. Glad to see you are still here, working away. I'm trying out a new gym, which has 2 power racks plus one squat stand (got irritated with only one rack at the Y). New gym, though, has the equipment kinda crowded in. Yesterday I was squatting and had a "trainer" teaching his client how to do some weird thing on a smith machine, while standing right next to my rack, where the left end of my bar needed room to move. So far nobody chatting at me during a set, though -- hope that will not happen to you to often!

    Hi Amy... I don't know about a role model, but if nothing else, I'm consistent. I'll try to check out your log here, and update mine when I get time.
    I am ggdebgg on IG, and logging here. (I forget things even though I carry a written program, and it's hard for me to see SS log on my cell.)

    Best feeling squats etc. in terms of my feet not hurting (orthotics seem to be working, I used my competition insoles in my lifters).
    Squat: concentrating on not losing my upper back tightness (bain of my squatting existence)
    Press: felt pretty good
    Bench: used wrist wraps, got a horrible hamstring cramp with the 40's

    Got stopped twice last night by people talking/asking about my hair (they think I'm MAKING it white. Old age - no app required!)

    Snatch practice. So fun!!!!! Just light bar work; last week was 15# today 15kg bar - its starting to come back to me; we'll see if I use some weight, if anyone freaks out (this was at gym opening, hardly anyone there - still getting some weird looks). Holy crap starting all over, form sucks. Fuck it my birthday's tomorrow, I'm officially starting year 60. Here Two words: PANDA PULLS. Two more words: multiple positions.

    Need to go up on rdl and fu bench. slacker.

    The cleaning lady at work threw my program out. Wth?? Should have done 135# for squat.
    Both shoulders have rebelled at dumbbell pressing (pain), so I struggled tonite with press and didn't do DB bench to @9 like rx'd. Triceps triceps triceps - feel all swollen yet they're nonexistent.

    RDL no big, FULL ROM, and limited by my lats. also my hiney hurts from leg press. Feeling pretty toast with all these reps. Probably could do more on bench too but 90# over 12 reps would be a dicey @8.
    Today I did snatch practice!! in an empty room. I could probably still get my snatch back, my shoulders/knees are pretty sore snatching after all the press/bench/knee bending, so....

    back to the original leg press machine. Either version, they hurt my back.
    Fucked up CGBP AGAIN - 80 felt easy, 90 felt ok, 98 was a no go; 97 I jumped up spun around put the bar back after 9 reps, 96 felt, @8. Sucker jumped.
    Press - DB's suck. Hurts shoulders.

    NOTABLE: Three hours sleep, cut some volume.
    I out-pressed two 20yos who then thought I was a pro lifter and scoffed at not bending knees. I said, in strict press its cheating - you guys are pushpressing...so its fine. hmm. maybe a pro lifer? Idk. Another 20's girl engaged me in the LR, said my DL is awesome she wished she could look like me when I deadlift. I guess I should say, don't do as I do. And a guy who's mom's my age told me last weekend I look nothing like his mom and my dead/squat numbers are much closer to his than he would like. Pinch me.
    Snatch technique work from a hang. Not as fast and snappy as last time because, tired. Fell on my ass once. Worked up to 45# (yea, so nothing but its coming back to me) before I lost me ritmo, my flow (I hate it when that happens).
    Squat 100x8, 125x8, 135x8
    Press 45x8, 55x8, 60x8, 65x8, 70x8
    DB Flat Bench 35x12, 40x12, 35x12 Ima hafta bite the bullet with 45's, I guess.

    Cuts. Who knows about cuts? So I've been on a slow cut, fats first, and then cut the 40g carb; unlike most people who'll see .5-1lb. a week - I saw not much, but now a couple months later I'm suddenly down to 182. I don't seem to notice a huge strength loss now, this cycle I just feel like, swollen. But eventually will go back to less reps/heavier. I don't feel or look less fat but my leggings are looser. IDK if I should stay this way or try to get more muscle (I have no muscles).
