Going to be an odd training week since I'm off schedule due to camping over the long weekend and trying to plan around a SSC coaching session this upcoming Friday:

    Tuesday 9/5
    Squat 295x5,4*
225x8 (backoff due to missed workset reps)
    Bench 160x5x3
*Failed squat rep on second work-set looks like it was from excessive depth and bad knee slide at the bottom. Plan to repeat this weight next time.

    Wednesday 9/6
    Press 95x8x3
    Chins 3x3
    Deadlift 275x3 (Straps)
Just trying to get some volume in and get some deadlift work since I left the gym early yesterday. Straps were because I was at my work's gym and the cheap bar had smooth knurling and was extra thick.

Ah nice a fellow camper. Camping often sneaks up and ruins my plan to train on the weekend too

Would be interested to hear about the SSC coaching session, I don't think they're easy to find in England.

Yep, missed workouts and lack of a real bed can add up. But whats the point of getting strong if you just sit inside every day.

    I will report back.

    Friday 9/8
    Squat 250x5x3
    160x5x3
    Press 117.5x 3,3,2

Training session with Jayson Ball (SSC). This was an awesome session. As soon as I got home I took a full page of notes because I'm sleepy and was worried I would forget something if I waited till tomorrow. I am sure the session will pay huge dividends for my future training and I'm very glad I did it. I'm not excited about typing out a huge wall of text with all the stuff I learned, but here is a quick summary of what my take aways are:

I need adjustments to my grip and setup on the squat. I've got some knee slide at the bottom of my squat (related issue, need to adjust the way I'm using my hips to get the bounce out of the bottom). I've got a plan to correct this that will involve some changes to my warmups and a reset of my work weights. Some setup and positioning adjustments are needed on the press 2.0 and I missed some planned reps so I will be resetting that as well.

    Default Sunday 9/10

    Squat 255x5x3
    Bench 162.5 x5
    155x5x2
    Power Clean 147.5 x3x5

TUBOW on all squat warmups. Videoed my sets and the knee slide on the worksets is much improved. Also getting a better bounce out of the bottom. Hopefully the form correction will hold as the weights move back up.
Probably time for a reset on the bench. After the 5th rep of my first workset I figured I wasn't going to be able to safely complete additional sets at that weight, so I finished with some lighter backoff work.
