    Back at it after a longer-than-expected layoff and a peak/PR day spoiled by a stomach bug.

    Squat: 275x5x3

    It's that time of the year. Everybody around me has been sick. So far I have been fortunate Last year was the worst. My kids kept bringing stuff home from school and I had a 3 month period where I averaged less then 1 session per week. Kids love to share what they shouldn't and refuse to share what they should! Flue, multiple stomach viruses, abscessed tooth, unexpected travel..... Winter almost always results in some kind of an interruption in training. All we can do is push forward as much as possible. As a side note about 6 months ago I lifted right after a stomach virus where it was coming out of both ends. I couldn't eat for 3 days and I nailed all the lifts! There is no way I should have had the energy to do that. Some of my most surprising days have been when I felt like crap!

    You know it, Ken. Gotta get the work done even when you don't feel like it. Nobody ever got strong thinking up clever excuses.

    11/30/18 (AG):

    Squat: 295x5x3 (isn't hard, feels hard, getting a "404 groove not found" error on lots of the reps)
    Bench: 185x5x3
    Power Cleans: 135x3x5 (junky bar was slippery, I forgot to bring chalk, I will have a bruised collarbone)

    Deadlift: 405x5 (shoes, hook grip)

    The comeback continues despite some kind of nasty head cold

    Had an awesome day, but very little time left for training. This was an attempt to be in and out of the gym in under 20 minutes but not derail my comeback LP.

    Deadlift: 445x5 (hookandheels)
    Bench: 185x6x4

    Going to miss Wednesday, can’t go a week between bench sessions, so I tacked some on.
