Thanks for the advice I'll try not pausing next workout and see how my form is. Yeah, I'll probably do some sort of concurrent system when I'm intermediate. Gonna keep it simple stupid though, those westside guys go crazy with the variations and accommodating resistance haha. Thanks again!

    High Bar Pause Squat: 290x5x3

    Strict Press: 105x5x3

    Conventional Deadlift: 355x5x1

Good session today. No explosive work again cause I'm currently reading up on properly progressing plyos and such, so I will implement them back in once I have a better understanding, hopefully by next workout.

Bobby i coach out local LAX team as well as S&C. With season looming (or starting!) whats your conditioning like these days? I ask as many HS (colleges for sure) have pretty tough conditioning tests for the teams as well.

Hi trukweaz! In terms of conditiong I’m doing both low and high itensity stuff. For low intensity, I go for a walk every morning, and I also do pushups and pull-ups throughout the day on non lifting days (I haven’t been logging this but I might start since people are probably interested). For high intensity, I practice (lacrosse drills) and push the prowler and farmers walks. I haven’t posted any high intensity stuff yet cause honestly I’ve been lazy about it, but will start posting it ASAP. I plan to do those twice a week on non lifting days (Monday and Friday). Please note that I’m in my offseason cause I don’t play school ball, I just play travel in the summer and fall. So I’m not really training for any sort of conditioning test. Hope that answers your question!

ah ok...that makes sense then. My HS in season kids are running more sprints and 300m shuttle runs right now and getting some intermittent sprint work in their 2-3 time per week practices. I helped a kid prep for DIII lax and he had to run 2m in 12:59 or faster, so keep that in mind. Dont let it go too far away. train well.

    30min morning walk

25 chin ups and 50 pushups throughout the day

Wall Ball: 25 overhand, 25 side arm, 25 underhand (lefty and righty)

Point & Release Drill: 30 lefty, 15 righty

Fast Break Option Drill: 12 reps

4 Point Approach Drill: 4 reps

    Defensive Routes @X: 8 reps

Good session today. The initial plan was to do some sled pushes and farmers walks after, but all those last three drills were tough already because I push myself on them so I'm probably getting enough conditioning with just practice. I may add a sled/farmer walk day on Wednesday after I've gotten used to the 2 practice sessions a week, but we'll see.

    Light Pause Squats: 245x5x3

    Pause Bench: 170x5x3

    Power Clean: 175x3x5

Good session today. Woke up late so no walk. Decided to switch to squatting heavy only twice a week (advanced novice program) as I feel I might stall soon, so only heavy on Sunday and Thursday. Bench was good. Power cleans a little shaky but still got all reps.
