Both lifts moved slow unfortunately. I did video the Press but it got blocked for the music in the background

Ryan, it looks like you have a later novice adaptation of two days per week squat, bench, and chins/pull-ups, with middle day being press and deads. Is this correct? Such a set-up is intriguing to me for my next phase; I just worry that pressing overhead only once a week won't be enough to keep driving that up. So, more likely I will continue to alternate bench and OH, but will almost certainly arrange my squats, deads, and chins across the week in similar fashion to yours. Just wanted to hear your thinking/reasoning on this, as I'm curious.

Hey Bastiat - yes this is basically a Texas Method style program for the Squat and Bench(volume and intensity) and putting the DL and Press on the middle day, and as you pointed out - only doing the Press once a week. I am also still on LP for my Squat due to my quad issues. I think the Press can continue to go up with benching twice a week as long as you are in a caloric surplus. I think if not, it will stall quickly. Then depending on where you are in terms of training advancement, even this won't last too long. You'll have to make the choice between doing whatever it is you need to do with progamming/recovery/etc to keep the Press going up or to just start treating it as more of an assistance lift.
