    3-30-21 Tuesday

    Squat
    .bar5
    ..70-5
    120-3
    150-1
    165-1...barely
    120-5 very good

That workout shows what effect missing 2-3 hours sleep the two previous nights will do to an old fart's strength. It should have been an easy 3-5 reps with 165 staying in current progression of plus 5 lb. Hopefully bench's will fare better today.

    4-1-21 Thursday

    Bench
    .bar-5
    ..70-5
    120-3
    140-3
    165-2
    175-2
    185-2

TBT...This day 39 years ago I was 5' 11' @ 175 lbs. maybe and did a pr on Bench of 240x5. Squats were 280x5. I was not very strong compared to others but it sure felt good to not have any injuries yet and still be able to run and push the two man sled. Ahh...now I struggle.

You might get there, who knows, a pound or two on the bar now and then, and every day lots of protein and sleep.

11 hours is about twice as long as I wanted to work but my brother in law wanted to get as much done with the project as possible. I felt it for a couple of days afterwards.

Do you mean get there as in lifting those weights again? That would be cool but at this age? I conservatively feel like 230-240x1 on the Bench if I stay healthy. The Squat and Dead lift... who knows the way things have been going as I have not found a good groove on either yet.

Sleep is my problem. I have to wake up a lot and move when aching. Hips, back, shoulders..you name it.

    4-3-21 Saturday

    Squat
    .bar-8
    ..70-5
    120-3
    160-3
    170-1
    140-3
    140-3

Still hampered by some back soreness but more load this time.

    Happy Easter everybody!!

I'll have my Easter eggs fried with about a pound of chicken fried steak. Made with pork of course!

I know there is some obstacles on the way, I think and hope for progress, at least if my health stays ok. I have done around 80k bench when I was young and now Im there again. Me to have problem sleeping, use over the counter painkillers every night. It works a little, those dam shoulders and hips! And have to pee several times. Old is not for the weak.
