    Because music is life.

    Primus was in town last weekend, performing their postponed 2020 show. I've lost count of how many times I've seen them since the first time in '88, but it's always good (especially since I play around on a bass). And since Pork Soda came out, "Mud" is always a crowd pleaser. The theme for this show was that they performed Rush's "A Farewell to Kings" in its entirety. But with a Primus flair.

    I might be needing a light/med squat day. A top 5 rep weight was not happening today and I need to learn to judge that better. The 210 is the most I have squat as an old guy. The back was hurting a bit before squats today and more after and this might be the reason for todays results. I had to take Tylenol and have a long hot shower after which it felt better.

    The bench surprised me again as I was going for a 3 rep PR with 200.

    The bench continues its progress and the squat has not. Poor sleep/sore hips or back affects the squat much more than the bench at least for me.

    After Shugg wrote the program for me, it reminded me that always trying for a PR was not the way to go. Years ago when I subscribed to Powerlifting USA , every month a top lifter posted a WO plan. Seems most after hitting a PR would drop the weight, up the reps and over the following weeks start working up to a new max. I think we can't always grind away.
    All I can say is right now I have no pain and don't feel beat up.
