Thanks Jerry but it doesn't seem like much since I squatted 250-1 back in December. I have lost a good bit of strength due to various issues and now loosing body weight but I will keep pushing. You always seem to do plenty of lifting so I will use that as an example to follow. Stay cool!

It sure was hot today, sent you something on Instsgram. As far as losing strength I sure know how tuff it is to look back at lifts from the past and compare them to what we can do today. Last week I went to see my friend Pat Susco. He is 70 and although still strong he is content to lift half of what he used to do at 50. He told me just lift and work hard at what you can do now.

Thanks for the IG post Jerry...your grandson is doing great. He will be pretty strong if he keeps it up.

Your friend Pat sounds dead on point also Jerry!

Hey Fred, I'll tell you how I feel the fat bar helps me, personally. My bar is 2.5" diameter and weighs 56 lbs, the thickness and the fact it's unwieldy, makes you work harder to control it. It also works the grip harder, and all this combined helps my balance and coordination, so my benches with the Olympic bar are better controlled. I've used it for overhead presses, floor presses, as well as curls and reverse curls. I feel the floor presses with the fat bar especially help me with my sticking point.

I'd like to offer my belated condolences for your loss, I was away from the site for awhile and out of the loop. I can sympathize, as explained in my posts from around six years ago, I lost the love of my life to complications from dementia. My training has been cathartic in helping me cope with the loss.

Thank you fifty...I appreciate it! I try to stay busy to keep my mind from stressing myself too much about it as that has proven to hurt my health situation.

My right elbow has felt "touchy" lately so I did some very light one arm dumb bell curls. The last time I tried curls or rowing either with a straight or ez-curl bar they gave my elbow pain so I did these thumbs up with little pain. I want to return to doing rows but I may have to find a way to turn my wrist differently.

I guess thumbs up means your doing hammer curls. Good you found a way to get some work in without pain.
