Yes it's great. I just hope the storm next weekend does not mess it up for us.

    Bench
    070-4
    120-3
    160-2
    175-3
    185-1

I'm keeping the lifting short and to the point these days. I have to remind myself to go slow and steady.

    Now...outside stuff.

All good and back to the outside for more yard work before the rain gets here in a couple of days.

I agree with you wholeheartedly about goals Fred, and I look forward to seeing you reach yours in the next year. I've been forced to reassess mine a bit this year, mostly due to the hip problems I deal with routinely. Early in the year, I felt I might have had a shot at squatting 330+ and deadlifting 400 (once again). I still believe it's possible for me, it just might take a little bit longer. Gotta keep pluggin' away and be patient. After all, we're still far ahead of most our age, huh!

Thanks for the encouragement Walt. I wish you luck with your hip as the main deterrent to progress for me also are things going wrong with the old body.

    9-29-2022 Thursday

    Weight 193

    Bench
    070-4
    120-3
    160-2

    170-2...Close grip

    Pulls
    070-2
    120-2
    170-2
    220-3

Poor sleep and overwork earlier in the week may be the reason the bench was not up to 3x3 today. These are being harder than anticipated. Anyway I did pulls for the first time in 5 weeks.

Bar hangs if I don't forget again...

Nice sqts, been quite a while since I did anything like that.
It sure looks bad in FL. Finally got in touch with friend there, he spent 2 nights in a shelter.

Hey Fred, yes, it is the Lockport meet, and I decided to stick with the raw division, to set the standards there. I've been feeling better and better lately, so I hope to have a good meet. I'm gonna try to take the grandson I just started working with, he should get a kick out of it. Glad to see you're doing better and the lifts are starting to move back up.

That's great news Walt. I'm sure you will do well and that your grandson will enjoy it.
