It's been a busy week even with not feeling up to par. You would think being retired I would have plenty of "off" time well let me tell ya it ain't so lately. I put this workout off for three days and I could tell. Barely made reps planned.

One week too long between bench days. Now more painting and then shelf fab and install. It never ends...

I used to be out of my house about 11 hours a day, did work around the house and still found time to work out. Now it seems chores mess up my schedule even though I'm retired.

But you did it! Hell, even the fact that you attempted it is great. Keep at it, Fred!

    Thanks Bill.

The truth is several times lately after postponing lift days I have not wanted to lift on the days that I did. Not wondering why I am lifting but that lazy bone tries to slip in.

I do understand that. I have a tendency to fall victim to myself, too, once the days away start to stack up. Yesterday was no different, especially thinking that I wouldn't get the weight, but I just went. I should have done light squats after, but the one lift was all it would be.

Normally I'd suggest doing just one lift, but you're already doing that. So just keep at it, getting it in when you can.

A "light" day. The squats felt heavy & one week is too long between squat or bench days. It was good to get them done after a case of sciatica late yesterday.

The lower back did not like the squats but it has been bothering me since Wednesday rehab. Still a good day. Gotta start getting some back work in.

Hi Fred, have you given up deadlifts?
(Saw your comment about lower back, and thought about deadlifts staying ahead of squats)
Not heckling, just thinking back to my back tweaks…
