    8-26-2023 Saturday

    weight 199

    Bench...18" grip on all
    090-4
    130-3
170-3...the rest with bench block under shirt...2.5 board
    180-3
    195-3

    Pulls
    130-3
    180-3
    220-3
    270-2
    310-3**PR

The bench block is gonna be in a trial period until I get used to it and can see if it is actually helping any.

The pulls are going well especially since I could not do any squats yesterday with just the bar without my lower back bitching too much.

Thanks Jerry I am glad I can do these pain free compared with other versions and squats.

My post disappeared when I tried to edit it with my phone. This is why these seem out of order now.

I will be trying different heights between Cheesepuff's 4" recommendation and what Dan John recommends in this video.

I want to make it clear and repost this as a reminder of how I approach doing "pulls". Nowadays it seems to be even worse in that I cannot at times get down to even a bench squat level with my back saying no. This was posted 1-2-2022.

    Bench
    080-4

    220-3

This went okay considering I have had a slight sore throat the last few previous mornings. The benches could have been better as I planned on 3 rep sets at 192. My previous PR at 192 was 5 reps so I have some ground to make up.

    Opps...forgot to do pulldowns.

Another decent day. I only have two days of eating to recover from this as I have to start a "clear diet" Tuesday AM for a Wednesday colonoscopy.

Well the prep sucks as they have it done in two parts this time. You have to drink half the first evening and the rest starting at 7am. I have had one hour sleep and the test is not until 2pm. The previous time I was out by 8:30am. This is gonna be a long morning...
