Never did reps on the ssb with 4 plates before. Happy about that.
Never did 310 for a double on bench. Wanted to do doubles for sets across, but the first set moved too slow. Dropped 10 lbs and got a couple more doubles.
    Grats on the PRs!!

Strong work! 425 on a SSB is impressive! Pretty soon 3 wheels on the bench too!

    Thanks, Skid!
Me and the SSB have a long-standing feud - it's such a cruel beast. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose.

    Today's work (hypertrophy):
    SSB w/belt - 320 x 10r x 3s
    Bench -230 x 10r x 3s
    RDL w/belt and straps - 320 x 6 x 3

I should just call this cardio...
Added some RDLs to supplement my hamstring work, which I think is lacking a bit.

    SSB Squat w/belt - 380 x 5 x 3
    Bench - 272.5 x 5 x 3
    Power Cleans - 135 x 3, 185 x 3, 205 x 2, 215 x 1, 225 x 3, 2 (Failed 3rd rep)

Did I just end up doing running LP? Sure looks like it from today's workout!
Haven't done cleans in forever. It probably looked like it, too.
I'll try again with 215 as the target weight and work on technique. They were kinda fun.

    Press and Cleans

    Press w/belt - 170 x 5r x 4s
    Power cleans w/belt - 205 x 3r x 5s

Trying to get clean technique down a bit. The "jumping" part was more like "heaving".
I was catching the bar on the delts a bit better than I remember. I used to catch the bar on my wrists a lot more, which really aggravated them.
Instead, I'll probably have some bruises on my delts.

On another note, I say farewell to my 40s today. Tomorrow, I turn 50.

    Today:

    Low bar squat w/belt - 365 x 5 x 3
    Bench - 275 x 5 x 3
    RDL w/belt and straps - mid grip - 325 x 5 x 3

Got my weightlifting shoes on for the first time in forever. Low bar squat felt awful - I have not done it in about 9 months (since I injured my shoulder).
I could get into the position ok, with a bit of tendinitis in my left elbow.
I felt very unsteady and out of practice on these. I may LP them up slowly.

Funny: my workouts are looking more and more like SSLP. Everything comes full circle...

I'm 50 today. I am grateful that I am able to remain strong in the years where most people rapidly become weak. Thanks to the blue book I picked up about 5 years ago, I'm not flailing around doing stupid cardio and bw circuits.
