    Hope you feel better soon.

If you live in a rural or quasi-rural area with a rural health clinic, they should have rapid home tests available for distribution free of charge...if not now, maybe next week. that won't help you now, but it might be handy if any of your family falls ill.

BTW, your son is crazy strong for a 16 year old!

Hey TM! I've just put in an order with amazon for a couple to tests have on hand. Will be a couple of weeks due to demand. I hope not to need them til I get them...
Surprisingly, I'm feeling better already. Yesterday's worst symptom was a pounding headache. That's gone, and I just have some minor aches and pains. Hoping to hit the weights again soon.

Thanks for the kind words about my son. He's the kinda kid that has to work twice as hard to get half as much. I did an LP with him about 2 years ago and he loves it. Never misses a workout.
It's given him a lot of confidence and taught him that hard work, done consistently, pays.

    Todays workout:

    SSB (beltless) - 295 x 5 x 3
    Bench - 245 x 5 x 3 (regular/med/close grip)
    DL (beltless, but with straps) - 365 x 5
    15 minutes moderate treadmill walk
    12 pullups

This was my first post-covid workout (got a PCR positive result this morning - 4 days after taking the test).
Felt janky at first, probably due to 4 days of inactivity, but got back into the groove pretty quickly. Glad I did the workout - I now feel much better.
Exercise is by far one of the best medicines.

    Today:

    SSB (beltless) - 305 x 5 x 3
    Press (beltless) - 150 x 5 x 3
    DL (beltless, with straps) - 375 x 5

Total time for workout: 35 minutes.

Just wanted to keep the system moving while I get over this cough and congestion.

    SSB (beltless) - 315 x 5 x 3
    Bench - 250 x 5 x 3 (bench grip/mid grip/close grip)
    DL (beltless w/straps) - 385 x 5
    Pullups - 12

Enjoying these very quick workouts with a very simple LP. Not at all very heavy yet - my back has really recovered and feels wonderful! I should do this more often.

    Just more LP...

    SSB (beltless) - 320 x 5 x 3
    Press - 152.5 x 5 x 3
    DL (beltless w/straps) - 390 x 5

Quick and to the point. Just trying to hold onto some muscle...

    Just some light pulling today.

    Power cleans - 135 x 3, 185 x 3, 205 x 3, 215 x 3, 220 x 3 x 4 (added belt for these)

My power clean form is awful, so this is more of a learning exercise than anything. I'll probably stay at this weight for a couple of weeks to work on my form before adding any weight.
As it were, 220 was about perfect. First 2 reps of each set was pretty solid, but the third was a tad wonky.

Nice work on the PCs. One thing I have found about this movement (and snatches as well), is the learning curve never ends.

Thanks, TM. I think that's where I'll be at with any "power" movements - perennial amateur. But they were kinda fun and made me feel all athletic for a few short time....

    Today's work: More LP

Just keeping with a good ole' LP:

    SSB (beltless) - 325 x 5 x 3
    Bench - 252.5 x 5 x 3
    DL (beltless w/straps) - 395 x 5

I think I'll try to continue beltless this week, then throw on the belt next week as the weights get heavier. Low back kinda feeling it without the belt during squats.
