That video is a good one. I've got to master no-handoff benching. At the weights I lift, I should be able to do it myself!

    Squat

    45x5x2
    95x5
    135x3
    185x1
    225x1
    260x1
    295x5x3 (pause)
    (rest: 7 min.)

    Overhead press

    45x5x2
    70x5
    95x3
    115x1
    132x5x5
    (rest: 6 min.)

Went O.K. Some of the pauses weren't very crisp. Probably work out Wed/Thu, then Fri/Sat off.

    Overhead press

    45x5x2
    70x5
    95x3
    120x1
    140x1
    159x2x3
    (rest: 6 min.)

    Halting Deadlift

    135x4
    225x2
    275x1
    315x1
    350x1
    385x5
    (rest: 10 min.)

The press doubles were slow, but will go for 160 next. Haltings weren't bad (no pause at the top). Seemed like they stayed on the shin better/engaged lats better, except for the last rep, which was loose (Salt-N-Pepa was playing in the gym, what can I say).

So you're saying that there was a bit of booty shakin' going on with that last rep? That can be the only explanation, because that's what happens whenever Salt-N-Pepa is playing in this house.

I am glad I didn't comment as that one went right over my head. Funny!

We had 80s/90s dance mix going on in the gym yesterday. Topping it off with Salt-N-Pepa was, shall we say, a little distracting--like many, classic power chords are my preference for motivation and work set focus.

This is more along the lines I was thinking. I would not last past the first day at most gyms probably.

    Pin press

    45x5x2
    70x5
    95x3
    115x1
    130x1
    147x5
    (rest: 5 min.)

    Squat

    45x5x2
    95x5
    135x3
    185x1
    225x1
    265x1
    300x5x3 (pause) PR
    (rest: 8 min.)

Pin press is O.K., unless you get one out of the groove. Overall, went fine. Not a lot of pauses on the 3rd squat work set (more in hips)--tiring, but kept it together. Back Sunday, for another shot at the 420 deadlift.

    Squat

    45x5x2
    95x5
    (warmup only)

    Deadlift

    135x4
    225x2
    275x1
    325x1
    375x1
    420x3
    (rest: 10 min.)

Limited time in the gym today, so went right to the deadlift. A friend counted to make sure I pulled long enough--and indeed it did not come up right away. Overall, O.K. Will drop one pressing day this week to make up the missed bench.
