Assisted Hammer Strength Machine Curls.
The spotter was doing most of the work.
It would have been complete if the spotter yelled out "It's all you, Bro!". But, unfortunately, he did not.
At the local gym and in walk two curlbros; late teens, straight out of Jersey Shore, and no more than a buck 50 each.
They head over to the bench and throw on two 45's:
Snookie: I'll spot you bro.
Faux Hawk: Dude, I almost touched my chest (struggling on his 2nd rep of the first set).
Well that was enough for the two of them, so they head over to the dumbells; because of course, it's chest and arms day:
They alternate between the flat and incline bench, waxing poetic about how they remember when they could only use the "small dumbells".
After "maxing out", they mix up their GNC/S2 shakes so they can keep going hard.
Snookie turns and says: I hope I don't OD on this.

I saw somebody deadlifting with good form, worked up to about 250(don't remember, more than 2 wheels less than 3) then proceeded to put a wheel and a quarter on a ezcurl bar and Deadlift it.
Is that a B&R bar?
Saw a guy doing smith machine swiss ball presses today. He even switched out the smaller silver ball for a larger blue ball as he increased the weight.
Even at age 43 and female, and coming off an injury that prevented me from benching and pressing entirely for over three months, I still out bench about 75% of the guys that I've seen bench at my gym. I both think that's hilarious and I kind of love it at the same time. It's only because I train at a climbing gym and I think most of the climbers are terrified of putting on even an ounce of flesh even if it's muscle.
its cool that you live in a place where something as niche as a "climbing gym" can exist.
