Oh, because I take 20x the BCAA's it makes me 20x the jackass?
I think this is a joke that isn't fully transferring over the interwebz.
I figured, it's just one of those "I-don't-understand-but-I-want-to" situations.
*slowly backs away*
I noticed the commercial gym I go to now has medical sharps bin in the bathroom. I think they expect people to inject steroids while at the gym!
It'd only take finding one needle for the staff or members to demand a sharps bin be put in there. And 1 person out of 2,000-5,000 members is rather less than you'd expect. I just work at a Y and even we have got around 30 obvious drug users here, which means the same again in non-obvious drug users (mostly novices, plus a few long-term users who keep it sensible). No sharps bin needed so far, though, so obviously they're jabbing up at home. Usually if they're jabbing at the gym it means someone at the gym supplied them. So far as I know we have only one dealer here and he deals off-site, the other dealers are a local physiotherapist and a couple of others who don't come to our gym.
So I had someone comment last week while I was doing my press reps (in the squat rack) that press is "bad for your shoulders". I told him doing the press for 2 months has relieved 20 years of right shoulder pain. Then I offered to let him borrow my paper copy of SS so he could understand why that was. He wasn't interested. Went back to his bench windmilling his right shoulder.
