Nah, that's a rest stop.

Around here, most houses have the toilet and the rest in two separate rooms (one estate agent told there is actually a law that forbids to put everything in the same place, lest a baby falls down the toilet (?)).
The toilet is usually in a very little cubicle with no window, called, unsurprisingly, 'la toilette'. The rest is located in the 'salle de bain', which might be next door, or maybe at the other end of the apartment.
So after you take a dump, you have to walk all around the place before you can wash your hands and your nether regions. Which you have to do in the shower, btw, because despite 'bidet' sounding like a French word, I have yet to see one.
Also, a shower placed at the same level as the floor is called "Douche a' l'Italienne", although nothing of the sort exists in Italy.

I still remember the cheap hotel I stayed in in Rome, long ago. The "bathrooms" had a toilet, a bidet, a sink, and as an afterthought, a shower nozzle added somewhere at random. In one of the rooms, the shower nozzle was directly above the toilet, for example.
those nozzles are for cleaning your soiled bodyparts surely?
In islamic countries they have a shower on a hose next to toilets for you to clean up after going. In less developed situations you get a jug which you fill with water yourself.
British (natives) and I presume you 'muricans dont usually clean up after pooping right? Always found that a bit baffling. Surely for most men, and a lot of women, its like peanut butter in a shag carpet. How the fuck is some dry paper going to cut it? HOW??????
We mostly don't notice or care that our assholes are slightly shitty. It's weird, since Americans are so generally fussy about body odor.
Recently, flushable wet-wipes have come on the market though. We use those after knocking off the bulk of the problem using the dry paper now in my household.
I go nowhere, and by go I mean go, without baby wipes.
