Seriously, you guys are talking about the hopping, and not the imaginary speed skating?
Overheard at the gym:
Guy 1: "Just got off the rowing machine. 23 minutes"
Guy 2: "You do that often?"
Guy 1: "Every Tuesday and Thursday. Monday, Wednesday and Friday are cardio days"
Apparently the rowing machine is no longer cardio, and I need to find somewhere else to do my intervals.
My gym has two power racks. One of the safety bars is broken. This has been the case for over a month, maybe two months by now.
I consistently see people squatting with one safety in place.
Usually, they're not squatting very heavy but it still makes me cringe.
[I think the single safety is used by people doing pull-ups and chins in the rack and the squatters don't even notice that it's there.]
I've personally known bodybuilders who only did curl and bench variations and considered their cardio workouts "leg day". I guess that's why the rowing machine isn't cardio -- you're using your arms, so it's definitely strength training.
