This is a rather amusing observation given the rise of the drug culture in the US was promulgated by many of that same bunch.

I guess Reefer Madness never got any screen time in the Southern Hemisphere. Shoot, Louis Armstrong was hot on it decades before that movie even. Ah well.
Maybe they never heard of Timothy Leary either.
If ignoring the rest of my post so you can reach funny conclusions makes you happy then go ahead. Who am I to come between your preconceived notions of millennials and Antipodeans?
I was being charitable with my explanation. If you want to make the case that kids of your generation had access to the same wealth of perspectives as a 10 year old with a smart phone then fine. You're going to have to explain why a larger percentage of your generation was fine and dandy with armed thugs violently arresting people for "crimes" with no victim.
Shoot sonny, the crime rate here in the US spiked off the charts from this same group irrespective of the drug offenses. Most of those armed thugs (you racist pig for using such a word, you) you mention were un-uniformed street people looking for a big score. Quite a few of the brain dead cadre of my own generation felt just like you. You're just not hip enough or old enough to have known that. No charge for the education.
The old cro magnons didn't have the internet, but we had plenty of word of mouth and underground publications from early bootleg copiers and even the odd mimeograph machines. You can look that one up. You'd love sniffing the fluid, it's like huffing glue.
Ah, the intelligence of the young . . .
You do realize you are not immortal, right?
10 year old kids were walking around with bootleg what now? Are you saying that as a product of the 90's I missed out on the transparency offered by the internet as well as the underground publications being passed out in detention?
Or more likely you're making a point about high school and college aged kids? This is the second part of my first post:
When did your indoctrination start? I was having the dangers of drug use and peer pressure shoved down by throat by age 5. I took a fair amount of convincing in my teens to even entertain the idea that drugs weren't 100% evil. When I finally overcame this and did my own research I felt incredibly betrayed. I was groomed at an impressionable age to support policies which impede freedoms and ruin peoples lives.Quote:
It takes a lot of unchallenged bullshit from authority figures to reach the conclusion that imprisoning people for smoking a plant isn't totally evil.
Stop insulting me with this fiction that I somehow believed that everyone in your generation was anti drugs. If your generation was as progressive we wouldn't be having this discussion. The bullshit would of ended and people would no longer be locked in cages over this nonsense. The biggest changes are happening now, they're far overdue. Like I said, if your generation knew better then they've got some explaining to do.
I'm not prepared to get into a major debate on your other points because they're the same fallacies that appear in all of these arguments. You can't say "irrespective of drug offences" and then lump the people who have only broken drug laws in the same category as people who've harmed others in some way. You've just removed the only qualifier for including them in that group in the first place.
As for those un-uniformed thugs(I like that word, colour me racist)? They only exist while the uniformed thugs are out in force. The "score" you mention is a result of conditions imposed by a black market. The black market is what drastically reduces supply and inflates the price. The illegal status of drugs is what makes them so appealing to steal, while also promoting retaliation. Steal some ones car and they have legal recourse as well as the opportunity to collect insurance. Steal their stash and their only recourse is what they dish out.
Anyway....I heard this today. You know muscle activation works because the muscle you are activating will feel hard afterwards.
That sounds like partial activation.
Looks like the ADD overcame your indoctrination then. Your family must be proud of your free spirit.
What can I say? You make broad and unqualified statements, you get called on them. So I did.
I made no reference to drug crimes at all when I talked about that spike in crime. Homicides and other violent crimes against persons, as well as property crimes like burglary went through the roof. The decline in US crime of the last decade or so is almost certainly a result of a bunch of undisciplined Boomer brats aging out of criminal activity or dying off. And good riddance. So you can keep clinging to some idea I was talking about drugs, but in fact I was not. Although drug and drug related crimes skyrocketed too. Just another example of parenting that didn't take and so more free spirits were let loose on the populace.
Dude. You're talking too Americans, so keep up here. Your counterparts in the US have declared the word thug to be a no-fly zone because it is an inherently racist word. You should use more diverse and inclusive and welcoming language.
