Root, dude! Are you a Saluki?
But no, I mainly use the West weight room with some forays into the other rooms where the cardio equipment I use is located.
Correction: I just started going into the East weight room for one of the Hammer Strength plate loaded pulling devices is located.
Dude hugged a 25 lbs plate to his chest with one hand, held the upright beam on the squat rack with the other, and leaned back about 45 degrees and then stood back up. Did this for a few sets of 10 reps.
Sissy squats. Vince Gironda loved 'em.
That was my first thought when I saw it. But I remember sissy squats being with an actual barbell or dumbbells held behind the back.

I guess maybe this is a variation of the sissy squat for those who can't perform a sissy squat? Their utility for the general population confuses me.
Next to our gym's power racks there is an assisted pull-up/dip machine - the kind where you have a counter-weighted pad you kneel on. Some older guy was standing with his foot on the pad (fortunately he had a towel underneath), and performing what I can only describe as single-leg push-downs. Then he carefully instructed his wife on how to perform them.
Almost as good as the guy a couple of weeks ago showing HIS wife how to perform Smith Machine High Bar rearwards-leaning 1/8th back squats with ultra-wide stance and toes pointed forward. Fortunately he could only manage 70 lbs.
Sundays provide the best entertainment.
But I did witness the worst deadlifts I've seen in my life last Tuesday. A young skinny guy, working weight including bar 115 lbs, would stand in the starting position then dive-bomb his ass way down low and yank the bar up on the bounce out of the hole. Having seen him quarter-squat, I would say his deadlifts are better squats than his squats.
