Well, he was not doing leg raises, he had the legs just hanging, stretched in front of him. Now I don't know much about lifting, but that seemed to qualify as "silly bullshit" to me.

Came across this. It's a 3 part series with Xfit champion Ben Smith working out with Brian Shaw. Interesting that Smith has a deadlift pretty close to the SS model, but Shaw makes some corrections that are very much opposed to the SS model with low hips and more vertical back angle.

We have a family YMCA membership...last Saturday I go there to use the prowler they have. There is a 40 foot strip of AstroTurf setup for it. Doing 80ft back and forth intervals with about 1-2 minutes rests between sets. I’m about half way through my workout and I’m standing behind the prowler with hands on the bars and some oblivious woman sits down at the other end of the turf and starts doing her stretches. I then start to push the prowler and she doesn’t even move. I made a point to get as close to her as possible without actually stepping on her.
Unreal.
If you are over 40 you should have yelled
"Get off my lawn"
New job, new work gym. Saw a guy sitting on a bench with a 15 or 20lb dumbbell on his toe, raising the weight up & down.
Thought it was weird, then a day or so later saw another guy doing the same thing.
Reverse calf raises? Shin extensions? What am I missing out on?
