Ok, I got Romaleos 2. My big toe is essentially brought to the very end of a shoe, it's not heavily jamming it, but it is pushing the end of a shoe moderately. So essentially there's no room for toes. I see how it could get uncomfortable and I also see people saying the shoe will "break in". My usual size is precisely a half-size up (US 11.5), but I ordered half-size down just to be sure (and I read people recommending this for Romaleos 2)

    Should I go half-size up?

Yes. They aren’t going to break in length-wise.

I'll try US 11.5 then. Also my foot is 28.8 cm, while the current insole is 29 cm. I also tried them without insoles, was a bit roomier but a big toe still came to the end of a shoe. I can imagine I could use them for squat/press/deadlift, but if I’ll start some olympic movements (which I'd like at some distant point in time) my toe probably won't be happy
