I have had a squat stand for a while at home. I got my hands on a full squat rack this weekend used low cost. I've been googling and can't find the exact model. Seems sturdy
I can't decide if it is original or modified. The beams that support the weight are 1.5" x 3" in half rather than rectangle. Standards are usually 2x3, 2x3, 3x3. I hope it is sturdy enough
I did 315 squat seemed sturdy, the j-hooks though I have are made for 2" it seems, so a little slop
    Is this decent enough? Thoughts?
I paid $200 can resale it if garbage

Kind of hard to tell but it
Looks like 3 inch channel which is very very strong and better than square tubing racks

That was a bargain if it’s three inch channel, you will never outgrow it.

I have some three inch channel racks that have had 900 lbs on them without issue.

J hooks are easy to have made if you need different ones

    You got a great deal

Thanks for the feedback. It's 3" c-channel. I didn't know what to call it, but after Googling I watch a youtube of Rip describing the starting strength power rack. It uses c-channels. Also, I found a video or Rip walking people through WFAC. All his squat racks are c-channels. Newer ones are 4" I think, but saw some older ones that look like 3 inch.

    Next tasks,
buy 2 4x6 3/4" inch horse stall mats
My porch ceiling is 100", rack is 93", I might try to figure out how to hang something a few inches shorter so I can use it for chin-ups without hitting my head
Buy some more weights, I only have 345 need more, but the price recently seems so high

The older it looks the more likely it is to be strong enough. A garbage rack would fail sooner than later.

It doesn't look like a tippy design because of the extended bottom rails at the back. If it's light enough to be unstable when working off the front you can always put ballast on those rails in back.
