Yield Strength and Tensile Strength

I have been doing my research on barbells and came across an old article by you ( Mark) called Where Barbells Come From. Anyway I was wondering why are manufacturers always happy to quote tensile strength, but not yield strength. Is it a marketing ploy, trying to make a bar look much better than it actually is. Anyway I have reached out to a few companies in the UK and asked them the yield strength of their barbells. I might reach our of Rogue just out of interest as well.
