    Thursday

I was stuck up in Denver Monday and Tuesday. I started getting a cold yesterday and it's full on today. I'm tempted to just start my A series over again.

I need some kind of blowout. My wife bought "shower bombs" with eucalyptus. After a few minutes of that a semi truck made its way from the back of my throat to the shower floor, cracking the tile.

The 15 year old girl mentioned in this study was a daughter of a friend of ours. We just spent a couple hours with him telling us the heart wrenching story of how she died. She passed just about one week after they first sought medical help because she started having headaches. There have been only about 50 confirmed cases of this.

Clinical metagenomic identification of Balamuthia mandrillaris encephalitis and assembly of the draft genome: the continuing case for reference genome sequencing

Something that lives just about everywhere people are:
Balamuthia mandrillaris is a free-living amoeba that is known to cause the deadly neurological condition known as granulomatous amoebic encephalitis (GAE).[1] B. mandrillaris is found in the environment and was first discovered in 1986 in the brain of a baboon that died in the San Diego Wild Animal Park. B. mandrillaris can infect the body through skin wounds or by inhaling the dust containing Balamuthia.[2] Balamuthia has not been definitively isolated in nature, but it is believed to be distributed throughout the temperate regions of the world. This is supported somewhat by the presence of antibodies to Balamuthia present in healthy individuals. The Balamuthia genus is named in honor of the late parasitologist William Balamuth (1914–1981) for his contributions to the studies of parasitic and free-living amoebas.

Thanks, I didn't really think he'd be ready to talk about it like that, I think he was ready to do a grief dump, and my wife is an empath.
